This project involved a vital accessibility upgrade to Central Coast’s Narara Station, centred around construction of two new lifts connecting the platforms to the existing footbridge and commuter carparks. The lifts were complemented by new accessible parking and Kiss and Ride spaces, accessible paths and pedestrian crossings, platform regrading, formalised Boarding Assistance Zones and various electrical upgrades.
The upgrade was delivered proudly and collaboratively as part of the Transport Access Program (TAP), a NSW Government initiative that delivers accessible, modern, secure and integrated transport infrastructure across the state. Haslin has delivered a long line of TAP Upgrades throughout NSW, including Lisarow, Wahroonga, Warrawee and Hawkesbury River stations, helping Transport for NSW realise their vision of a more connected, accessible public transport network.
“Seeing someone actually using what Haslin built… it’s significant because it impacts people’s life. These TAP Projects literally change people’s life.”
Mona Aliabouzar, Senior Project Engineer
“The success of a TAP project is a function of collaboration and consultation. Haslin understands the importance of stakeholder involvement and make this a priority throughout design and construction.”
Chris Hammond, Senior Project Manager
“Haslin have a long history of delivering rail infrastructure with minimal commuter interruption, and we’re excited to be working with Transport for NSW again, doing just that.”
Colin Woods, Managing Director
