Broadmeadow CTC Building

Sector Transport
Year Completed 2002
Location Broadmeadow
Client Rail Infrastructure Corporation
Value $3m

This project involved construction of a state-of-the-art Centralised Traffic Control (CTC) Building in NSW’s Hunter region, to accommodate the controllers and support staff who manage all train movements from southern Newcastle all the way to the Queensland border.

A complex build, this project incorporated steel trusses and bow portals for clear spans, steel cladding, a curved roof, an interstitial floor and extensive fibre-optic cabling. All works were completed in a manner that exceeded client expectations and the result is a functional, energy-efficient building with a low environmental footprint.

HASLIN has completed a long list of major Rail projects, from a plethora of smaller station upgrades to full Design & Construct station projects such as the award-winning Shellharbour Junction Station. This project is just another example of HASLIN’s strong reputation in the field.
