Sector Energy
Year 2023-
Location Badgerys Creek
Client Endeavour Energy

This project entails the construction of a brand-new, 132kV Transmission Substation at Badgerys Creek in Western Sydney. This facility – being delivered by Haslin on behalf of our repeat-client Endeavour Energy – will provide electricity supply to the new Western Sydney International Airport as part of the NSW Government’s mammoth Western Sydney Aerotropolis project.

The project – which shares similarities with recent Haslin projects such as the Marayong Zone Substation and Macquarie Park Sub-Transmission Substation – will see Haslin undertaking construction of:

  • Main (control) building;
  • Two transformer bays;
  • Conduits and pits;
  • Driveways, pavements, hardstand areas, etc.;
  • Switchyard surfaces;
  • Retaining wall;
  • Services, including stormwater, sewerage, potable water, general light and power,
  • Mechanical, fire systems, security system, etc.;
  • Two (2) overhead cranes in the 132 kV switchrooms;
  • Photovoltaic (PV) system;
  • Fencing and gates, including inner security fence and outer post-and-rail fence;
  • Earthing and lightning protection;
  • On-site detention tank;
  • Landscaping.
