The $14.7 Million construction of the South Marsden Park Zone Substation entailed a new 33/11 kV zone substation building, two transformers, a High Voltage Switchyard and associated landscaping. The substation was developed to meet increasing energy demands from the Sydney Business Park corporate hub and were carried out as part of a joint venture with Ultegra known as UHJV, on behalf of Endeavour Energy.

A key priority was to create a facility that was not only functional, but aesthetically congruent with the local area, as such the building form is modulated and positioned to respond to the site and street frontage, with each module articulated in different finishes, ultimately adding visual value to the surrounding area.
