This bridge replaced the signalised crossing of the extremely busy arterial road, Horsely Drive, which allowed students from Fairfield High to safely cross to and from school.The bridge is a welded plate girder design, and works included construction of access ramps, stairs and abutments. Fabrication of the bridge took place in Wollongong and was then transported to site for install, in order to minimise traffic disruptions.
