This project involved the construction of 2 new Wastewater Treatment Plants at Lake Conjola and Bendelong, and a sprawling,1800m underbore of Lake Conjola linking the two sites. Each plant included major earthworks, roadworks, large concrete structures for the aeration/decant tanks, concrete sludge lagoons, chlorine contact tanks, filters and inlet works.

Building works included two amenity/office/laboratory buildings as well as blower switchroom buildings. Mechanical works included supply and instal aeration systems, screens, pumps, mixers, chemical dosing and UV equipment, as well as deep bed filters. As both plants are located adjacent to National Parks, stringent erosion and sediment controls were implemented.
